
Andrew Cainey
Andrew Cainey, a Senior Fellow of the Fung Global Institute, is involved in research into a range of topics, including how the financial sector can support the needs of Asia’s real economy, new business models for Asian financial institutions, and appropriate financial architecture and regulatory frameworks for Asia.
He is also a partner with Booz & Company in Shanghai, where he was previously Managing Director of its Greater China business. Throughout his 25 years of management consulting experience in Asia and Europe, he has worked with leading Asian and global banks, securities firms, insurers, asset managers, sovereign wealth funds and regulators.
Resident in Asia since 1997, he is the author of numerous books and articles that have been published in Chinese. Mr Cainey holds a first class BA and MA (Hons) in economics from the University of Cambridge and an MBA with distinction from the Harvard Business School, where he was a Kennedy Scholar.
